Long ago and far away, Madison Woods started Friday Fictioneers. She would post a photo prompt on Wednesday and ask people to write a 100 word (or slightly more) story about it. As time passed, the project grew and everyone had fun with it. As newcomers joined, they found a welcoming group of writers from all walks of life who came to visit their blogs and comment on their stories. Sometimes they only expressed approval and admiration, other times they gently suggested improvements. Some of the people write poetry, others humor or fantasy. Some are inspiring, others dark, but all are enticing.
Sadly, our founder, Madison Woods has found “real life” impinging on her time and decided she would have to step down. But she didn’t want to abandon her many followers, so she called for volunteers to take over the leadership role of our lovely group. Stepping up to the challenge is Rochelle Wisoff-Fields on her blog, “Addicted to Purple.” This is her first week as hostess. Let’s all support her in the awesome task.
