Reading to Write

My Path to Becoming an Author

Lost in Thought

I don’t find the inspiration needed to write fiction at the moment.  I spend a lot of time reading or listening to audio books.  I sit at the computer and try to find inspiration to write, anything.  It just isn’t coming.

I am reading Discovering Fire by Robert  Wolsey of Kissing Fish fame for my devotional time.  I am listening to Karen Slaughter’s second book in the series about Will Trent and reading the first book in the series at bedtime because I didn’t want to wait months for it to become available on the library sites.

I don’t need to pick Damion and Elaina up from school this week because they are in Florida at Legoland.  To keep from vegetating, I’ve added extra sessions of my usual exercises and planned to do Yoga in the afternoons. I still have to take Tracy’s kids to choir on Wednesday and that may be the only day I go to town.

I want to walk a Labyrinth and searched online to find something within driving distance.  There are two in New Harmony, Indiana and one in Nashville.  Either place is about 1 1/2 hours away, not practical for every day or even once a week.  Maybe once a month.  I’ll have to think about it.  In the meantime there’s the memory garden at the church and a short path by the lake at the park that will have to do.  It’s the meditation that’s important, not the actual route.

I need to get into better physical shape for our June trip.  There’s not much time left.  Hopefully, the daily Yoga and strength training along with walking will help.

The 17th of this month is the last day for choir.  Once school is out on May 24th, I won’t need to pick the kids up at all.  I need to find some way to keep from sitting all day.
