I am trying to get my groove back. This week’s prompt for Friday Fictioneers didn’t really inspire me. Then I read the post of our Fearless Leader, Rochelle Wisoff-Fields, offered as her response to the photo below. It did inspire me. Reading the comments on her post proved I wasn’t the only person with the thought. So, here’s my entry. Probably not a true solution. Who can know what the result would have been? Perhaps better, perhaps worse. One commenter mentioned Stephen King’s 1963, which was also ambivalent.

A conductor calls “All Aboard.” and I swing onto the train just as it picks up steam to leave the station. I will find a nice Jewish family to raise him in America.
